Create an “in progress” icon to differentiate saved work on a puzzle from a puzzle that hasn’t been worked on yet.

Colz - I take your intention.
But “progress indicator” is more than “simplest thing that works”. Lovely idea, yes.
“You’ve already started this” is minimum. An indicator of, say, 73% … that’s much, much more difficult / complex.

To start: an icon that indicates “This puzzle is already open” or something.
Later? yes … progress indicator would be really elegant.
