In puzzles with bulges, tricks like Freywas C-trick placing where the placing a green nucleotide at the top of the bulge, help make the structure stay in correct shape.

In zigzag both blue, green and red bulge blocking points have the same function.

But the lab puzzles seem to behave differently. Here blocking points in bulges, instead of stabilizing, seem to cause the structure to slide.
