From what I understand, EteRNA generates a sequence that is 60% GC and then does a random search using player strategies to accept/reject trial sequences.
Could player strategies be extended to changing how the starting point of the search is created and/or how the search is carried out?
For example, maybe the sequence designer could generate an initial sequence by piecing together fragments of previous successful lab designs.
“Random” changes to a sequence could also be biased toward regions in the target structure that are more likely to improve its chance of successfully folding.
