A twisted take on Turing

The other day I stumpled on this short podcast on how use an algorithm to random generate science papers and see how many would actually get accepted. It is really fun.

Math mutation

It is slightly related to why reading science papers can be a tough job. Some science papers are so full of abbreviations and foreign words, that they made me dream of an algorithm ”banning” those at too close an interval. A sort of instrument to meassure the readability index for science papers.

See this page for more things like this podcast, how to get started reading science stuff and a few reading suggestions.
