Since the main goal of the lab is to meet the shape of the target I think it would be a good idea to assign a bonus of 100 points if the estimated shape of a synthesised design fits the target shape.
Of course the minimum score to win a lab puzzle should then increase from 94 to 194.
I don’t see why there aren’t 2 rounds of voting… 1 to wittle out all the useless or identical bar 1. 2 or 3 base pair designs and the second to pick out the favourites, most interesting and most likely to succeed.
Maybe there isn’t time for this I don’t know but the numbers working on this are growing by the day.
