I’m unable to copy and paste when I’m designing puzzles…
Is this a flaw in the program, or is my computer not working properly?
Ctrl c copies and Ctrl v pastes. Ctrl x cuts.
At least in my computer 
You will, of course, have to mark the section you want to copy. Use Shift and arrow-keys or your mouse to mark the desired section of parentheses/full stops.
