standard length for lab sequences

I hear there are rumors of moving (back) to a standard length for lab synthesis sequences to avoid glitches in the high-throughput sequencing. Any word on what length that might be (with/without lab tails) and when it might take effect for those of us thinking of designing future paper and/or pilot labs?

The main structure length minus the T7 promoter, primer and barcode, will be somewhere around 89-90 residues. They will post a news item when they have the final length.

yes, there is a standard length is can now be seen(plus maybe oligos)

Many times I have done lab solution with less nucleobases .
Could we get a tool that cuts nucleobases then lab calculations will be faster for CPU and easy for me to solve.

+1 That would also help with the “readability” of a design
