I suggest after adding a +1 when adding one red (G) to each ring and bulge (note that
I don’t suggest a +1 for each added G, just on the overall structure), at the attachment of each hairpin - if there is a choice.
One G in the bulges typically reduces the free energy, while two increases the free energy again, yet, it sometimes seems that, nonetheless, the stuvture seems to solve easier.
