[Strategy Market] - Grey is best?

I had a chat with Brourd about the dotplot - and trying to figure out what was good and what was bad.

The latest lab had a few designs that had a very scattered dotplot but still got 81% when synthesised.

So a question I ended up asking was whether a grey dot plot was more likely to have a partial success than a very clean dotplot.

So thought I’d try a strategy based on having lots of mild dot plot features and the target ones being darkest.

So if the pixel in the dotplot is not part of the target and it’s dark grey give it -2 points,
if it’s got midtone grey or white give it -1 point.

If it’s part of the target and it’s white give it -2 points
if it’s part of the target and it’s mid tones grey give it -1

See how that works out.

I think this is an interesting idea. There may be much more useful data within the dot plot that we are just not able to visualize in the display format. Perhaps an automated program that extracts these features as Edward Lane suggests would be worth investigating!!!

Dear Edward,

Your strategy has been added to our implementation queue with task id 103. You can check the schedule of the implementation here.

Thanks for sharing your idea!
